Crystal Clean Accent Remover (30 January 2002)

The application is meant for native German speakers who are studying English. Accent Remover works using similar speech recognition technology as in the Universal Translator UT-103. First, the user finds a phrase in his or her  native language and its English equivalent. He reads the English phrase aloud, the application recognizes and processes it, comparing it to a pronunciation standard, and gives the user a grade.
